Our Selection Criteria

For more than 43 years, our herd has been bred and developed with one clear purpose: to increase long-term economic value for the farm. Every cow must meet strict performance and structural standards to remain in the herd:

• Fertility: Must breed back within a 60-day summer breeding window and wean a healthy calf every year (no exceptions)
• Heat Tolerance: Maintains a slick, healthy hair coat each summer
• Efficiency: Maintains body condition on primarily Kentucky 31 fescue pastures with no supplemental grain
• Structure: Exhibits strong, functional feet and legs
• Udder Quality: Possesses a well-attached udder with small, uniform teats
